Wheathampstead

Welcome

What is the u3a?
The u3a is a non-religious and non-political self-help organisation providing educational, creative and leisure opportunities in a friendly environment for people no longer in full time employment. Learning is for its own sake, with enjoyment being the prime motive. There are over 1000 u3as across the UK, all overseen by the charity Third Age Trust.

About Wheathampstead u3a – and what membership offers you
Wheathampstead u3a has over 300 members who have set up and run 30+ groups covering a wide variety of interests. The groups meet regularly, often in members’ homes – making U3A an excellent way to meet and make new friends.

In addition to enjoying our many and varied interest groups, we offer members informative and entertaining monthly meetings with a guest speaker, outings, the opportunity to join in regional and national events (see News & Info), workshops covering a variety of fun and useful activities and regular coffee mornings, plus a quarterly newsletter and the Trust’s own magazine.

Wheathampstead u3a was founded in 2014. Registered Charity No. 1184014
